Review : Batman Begins

If you are thinking that you are going to watch Batman do whatever you have wished, you will be disappointed. You are not into a fantasy film but a more serious topic. This is the only thing that would be a disppointment for the batman fans. Otherwise this movie is excellent.

There are two important phases in this movie. The life of Bruce Wayne(Christian Bale) and the life of Wayne as Batman. The first phase explains what makes Wayne as Batman and how. Second phase for his stunts. The phase where the director has slipped or rather made a mistake is in the first phase. You generally dont like watching a cartoon character like batman, spiderman, phantom suffer in their lives and what you like most is to watch their stunts. Thats the whole reason why these characters were able to catch so much of fans and they still do. Hence most of the time in Batman Begins is being occupied by Wayne as a kid, and his sufferings and his transformation into Batman. Its this phase thats catches you and it remains so till the end of the film.

But to state that this is not an entertainer would be an understatement. This movie has some breath taking shots and stunts. And the scenes in which Wayne gets trained by Liam Neeson(Henri Ducard) particularly.

I was able to feel this difference in between Spiderman I and II also. The first part was excellent and its sequel partly gets moved on to Spiderman's personal life and his love with his girlfriend. I read some where that the second part was not welcomed as its predecessor by the kids. Same case here in Batman Begins.

I had a chance to see Batman and Robin immediately after Batman Begins and I felt Batman and Robin was a better entertainer. Thats what you want Batman to do!
